Last week I picked up a kid fit video at a children's store that was going out of business. We put it on, and it was a yoga class for children. It was very cute, and Nathan was very interested in doing it. He even did the meditation part at the end. I didn't know he could sit still with his eyes covered for that long. Anyway, the very next morning he came to me and said "exercise, I must do my exercise every day." Then he asked me to put on the video, and he proceeded to do his 'exercise.' Here is a cute picture of him holding a yoga pose. I am glad he is starting young.

I never make time!
I always have many different thoughts and ideas going through my head that I want to blog about, but I never make time to do it. It really frustrates me because my blog not only gives all of you updates (that I know you can't live without) about our family, but it also serves as a journal for our family. Anyway, I could do a lengthy post about all that has been going on this past month or I could just recommit to setting aside time to blog. That is what I am going to do, and now here is my first post.

I love it! Auri loves to exercise too! So cute, and great to get them into it (at least a little) while they are young!
Since my sister became a yoga instructor Hendrix occasionally tells her, "I want to play yoga with you." I guess it's good to start them young so they think staying fit is another form of play. Nathan is so cute in meditation pose.
Also, I know what you mean about making time to blog. Our fam blog is our journal too and I sometimes get way behind even though I really enjoy doing it. My goal is once a week but that doesn't always happen. Oh well, some is better than none right? I am looking forward to your future posts!
Namaste my boy.
Love it, Susie! I tried a little yoga with all the day care kids for a while, but sadly, I didn't stick with it. This did spark a precious memory, though.
One day Jerry and his friend Gopi -both maybe 3 - were in the car, stuck at a railroad crossing, with Gopi's dad Swamy. When the boys started to fuss he decided it was a good time to teach them to meditate. He said, "Think of something you really love and say the word quietly to yourself, over and over." Jerry (who was notorious for his love of sweets, even for a kiddo) went into a trance almost immediately and stayed in it after the car was moving again.
Swamy got curious and asked, "What is your mantra?" Jerry (still dreamy): "Marshmallow juice, marshmallow juice...."
Love and hugs to all,
Auntie M.
