Many of you might be familiar with baby books and how they always have a place for you to enter your baby's 'firsts' and the day it happened. Before I had children, I assumed that there would be one specific day that my children would get up and walk. After having Nathan, I realized that learning to walk is a process that occurs over many months. Well, the past few months, Noelle has been going through this process. It started with standing while holding onto something, and now she stands all by herself and takes five or six steps. When she falls down, she gets right back up. Her learning experience reminds me that when I'm trying to do something better (ie. keep the house cleaner, reading scriptures daily, exercising) if I don't have success right away, it's okay. Success usually only comes after we try many times. When they told us in elementary school to never give up, that was a lesson that would apply to us our whole lives. I love having my two children, and I am grateful for all that they teach me.

Too Cute. Amen - to kids teaching us things. I am so glad you did the play - thanks!!! Susie-You've made it enjoyable - oh and Jeremy has been a great addition as well!!
What a nice big brother to share his yummy chocolate cake...I don't think I would be so nice!
My kids are always teaching me lessons too....I just need to be better at actually applying what they teach me!
What a sweet post Susie! We all need that reminder in our lives. Our children do teach us so much. I love the picture! It makes be hungry--I want some chocolate cake!:)
What a cute picture! I hope the play performances went well. We're sorry we couldn't be there--I'm sure it was awesome.
What a great observation, I totally agree, we sometimes need time to be taught.
How cute is that - what a great big brother. I can't wait for Audrey to respond to Warren ...besides squirming with fear at his impending overbearingness!
