My friend Kelly Roth loaned me this movie, and I am really glad that I watched it. Prior to watching the film, the New York Dolls were unknown to me. However, I enjoy the music of Morrissey, a main person in the film, so I decided to watch it. Apparently many of the bands that I have enjoyed were greatly influenced by this 70s band. The movie is about a former rock star who led a crazy life and eventually joined the church, finding peace and happiness. His love for music never changed so it was so awesome to see him reunite with the band and still be able to keep the standards which were so important to him. I would recommend this movie to anyone who feels like seeing an uplifting film. If you do watch it, make sure you finish it.

I am also a fan of this movie, as well as of the band. I think it’s cool how his conversion opened doors of information about the church among the lives of so many people who may have otherwise been clueless that such a church even existed.
